AZT paint calculation system

International and manufacturer-independent:
The AZT paint calculation system

At the beginning of the 1970s, AZT began to develop a model- and manufacturer-independent paint calculation system in order to provide those involved in the refinishing process, such as workshops and experts, with a neutral basis for a transparent and therefore comprehensible paint repair cost calculation for all those involved in the event of damage.

All items for time and material contained in the calculation system are based on time studies that have been recorded and evaluated by AZT according to REFA methodology in repair practice. All common repair methods, repair techniques and materials are taken into account in accordance with the current state of the art and the generally recognized rules of technology. The working time values and country-specific material cost information provided by AZT paint costing system take into account all common process sequences that occur in repair practice, which guarantee a high-quality and flawless repair finish, regardless of the brand and model and the paint finish of the vehicle to be repaired.

The AZT paint calculation system has developed into the leading international manufacturer-independent standard for the calculation of painting work.  It is now used in more than 40 countries worldwide, and the trend is rising. Over 5000 vehicle models are currently mapped in the AZT paint calculation system and the system is continuously maintained and further developed.

These values are available to users on the market via the calculation software of several providers. We cooperate with Solera - Audatex, Autovista Group - Eurotax, DAT, GT-Motive and CAB, among others. The calculation systems are used in particular by experts, garages, Allianz companies and other insurers.

The user of the AZT paint calculation system receives:

  • all necessary working time and indexed effort information quickly and easily,
  • calculation values for the car, SUV and van models recorded in the system,
  • a painting time in hours that matches the scope of the repair and
  • the current painting material costs incurred in the respective national currency.
