February 2026
On April 23, 2026, we will be one of the hosts of Girls' Day and will open our doors to girls between the ages of 12 and 17 who are interested in technical careers. How does a car actually become safe? What can modern vehicles do and how well can they be repaired after damage? And who is behind these investigations? At Girls' Day at the Allianz Center for Technology, we will answer these questions and participants will get an exclusive look behind the scenes of an automotive research center.
Practical insight: Participants in Girls' Day 2025 watch a painter at work.
After arriving and a brief introduction to the AZT and its tasks, our female engineers will talk about their everyday working lives, their careers, and how they ended up in technical professions in interactive interviews. Of course, there will also be time for questions. Afterwards, we will leave the meeting room and get hands-on: during a tour of the AZT, we will show you our crash track, workshop, and paint shop, among other things. We will explain how crash tests are prepared and evaluated and how modern driver assistance systems help to prevent accidents or reduce their consequences.
A special highlight is an emergency braking test: Here, you can experience live how an automatic emergency braking assistant works and what a difference this technology can make in everyday life.
In between, there will be time for discussion, participation, and lunch together. At the end, we will summarize the impressions of the day and answer any open questions.
Girls' Day at the Allianz Center for Technology is aimed at girls who are curious about automotive technology, engineering, electrical engineering, vehicle technology, or technical professions in general. No prior knowledge is necessary, just an interest in and enthusiasm for technology.
We look forward to Girls' Day and hope to spark interest in technical professions and contribute to breaking down stereotypes in study and career choices.
